Last thursday was the final submission for interior design class & let me tell you that I’m fucking glad this semester is about to end. yeahhhh! it was a pretty rough project for me actually because the pressure of submitting a good design was quite high considering the fact that I flunked the past two projects before lol. I hope I did everything right this time. Honestly I don’t want to repeat this semester. no one does. So the lecturers didn’t reveal the marks for this final project because they want to make it a surprise..I don’t like surprises like this. Like it or not we have to wait until the result came in somewhere in november I think. I can honestly tell you one thing though. I’ve never work so hard like this, ever. this is like literally the one project where I encountered so many sleepless nights. The one project where I spend 2 days concentrating on rendering the 10 drawings I have. I’m not bragging but personally I think this time I improved a lot in my rendering skills. As some of you may know, I’m terrified in using markers while rendering, because I was scared that it will get messy and over layered. Last semester for my final, I used colour pencil lol my reason was so that I can rub it off if I messed up. the rendering process was absolutely tiring, just hope that in the end it will be worth it. that’s all.
Now, the reason why I picked Chinese theme for this restaurant project. the main reason is because Chinese themed/concept is easy recognizable. My concept is “Chinese Oriental Style with a touch of Modern”. I’ve managed to found a book about Chinese history and oriental design. that really helped a lot. Can’t even describe the feeling of completing the work on time. Now I’m just going to wait for my results. gosh the anticipation is really killing me.
